Description
Part two is a continuation of the classic novel. In Red fern II, Billy Coleman returns from WWII to his grandfather's house and tries to readjust to civilian life. The war has made Billy crippled and bitter. Grandpa anticipated this and has a gift waiting for him : a pair of Redbone hound puppies - just like the ones he had as a boy. In addition, Billy befriends a young neighbor boy, Wilson, who reminds him of himself. Together the hounds and Wilson help Billy to rediscover the gift of giving - and ultimately rediscovering himself.
